Responsibilities
Ensure accurate tracking, classification, and reporting of project-related capital and operating spend, including validation of cost coding, capitalization eligibility, and entity alignment
Maintain integrity of project-level financial data across WBS elements, cost centers, and legal entities
Review and correct data inconsistencies related to project spend, capitalization, expense recognition, and timing
Design, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting packages used by management, development, FP&A and finance teams
Extract data from SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and related systems, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency prior to reporting
Perform detailed variance analysis, trend analysis, and project-level financial reviews to identify anomalies, risks, or data quality issues
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities related to project spend, including journal entries, accruals, roll forwards, and reconciliations
Ensure project accounting data aligns with general ledger balances and financial statements at the entity level
Assist with audit support, including preparation of project spend schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Partner closely with development, construction, FP&A, treasury, and operations to align financial reporting with project activity
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, system workflows, and project visibility
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly as it relates to project accounting, capitalization, and expense recognition
Demonstrated experience with project-based accounting in asset-intensive or infrastructure environments
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to pull, interpret, validate, and correct large datasets
Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, dashboard creation, and financial storytelling
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP S/4HANA experience required, public cloud strongly preferred with experience extracting and analyzing data
Highly motivated with the ability to work extended hours as needed
Strong Power BI experience required
BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Preferred
Advanced proficiency in SAP, S/4HANA Public Cloud preferred
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience; preferably in project-based, asset-intensive, renewable energy, or infrastructure industries
