Agile Space Industries is seeking a Quality Engineer/Inspector to join their team in the Space & Defense industry. The role involves ensuring product quality and reliability by inspecting parts, documenting results, and collaborating with teams to drive quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform inspection of incoming parts, in-process work, and final product using inspection equipment / gauging
Document inspection results
Review End Item Data Packs and First Article Inspection Reports
Develop and implement quality protocols for manufacturing processes
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to establish quality benchmarks and identify potential improvements
Recommend and implement corrective measures to improve product quality and overall process performance
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
Review nonconformance dispositions for compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS)
Collaborate with operations to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and controls
Accommodate flexible scheduling as dictated by manufacturing needs
Perform receiving and shipping for the PA site

Qualification

Quality management systemsInspection tools proficiencyTechnical drawing interpretationAnalytical skillsProblem-solving abilitiesAttention to detailTeam collaborationTechnical writing skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, or similar field
Knowledge of quality processes and procedures
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred

3+ years of experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing sector
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
Proficiency using inspection tools and equipment
Strong technical writing skills
