Responsibilities
Lead and oversee multiple civil construction projects with full responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, and budget
Provide senior guidance on change orders, bidding, cost proposals, and subcontractor negotiations
Direct project execution from planning through closeout, ensuring compliance with contract documents and safety plans
Manage staffing, resources, and coordination with subcontractors and internal teams
Oversee cost reporting, forecasting, and financial controls
Communicate project performance, risks, and expectations to senior leadership and clients
Mentor and develop Project Managers and Engineers; assist with hiring as needed
Build and maintain strong client relationships and support regional business development efforts
Lead project reviews and capture lessons learned to drive continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in civil and underground utility construction
Strong background in earthwork, utilities, trenchless technologies, and complex civil scopes
Proven ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously
Solid understanding of construction accounting and cost controls
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel and common construction management software (HCSS, Sage Timberline preferred)
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as project demands require
Preferred
Experience with alternative delivery methods (Design-Build, CMAR) a plus
