Responsibilities
Day to day/full cycle accounting for a portfolio of self-storage properties and two management companies
Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP for assigned entities including bank reconciliations, journal entries, reclasses, expense accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintenance of supporting workpapers
Monitor cash and ensure sufficient liquidity for properties
Review and approve payables in Yardi/Procure to Pay workflow
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasting
Manage and record corporate credit card
Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
Dedication to continuously improve accounting processes
Assist with special tasks and projects as requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 7+ years of relevant experience
CPA or advanced degree a plus
Experience in management company accounting for a real estate company
Advanced Excel and analytical skills
Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
Thrive in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
Get it done attitude and strong sense of ownership
Preferred
1-2+ years of recent hands on experience with YARDI Voyager
