Research Scientist
The University of Virginia is seeking a Research Scientist to conduct advanced research in primary care and cancer epidemiology/prevention within Dr. Li’s research team. The role involves managing research projects, epidemiologic and clinical data, and biospecimen.

Carry out advanced research in primary care and cancer epidemiology/prevention
Manage the research projects, epidemiologic and clinical data, and biospecimen
Qualification
Required
PhD degree in bioinformatics, or molecular/genomic epidemiology
Significant and productive research experience in the area of bioinformatics, statistical genetics, biostatistics, or GI cancer epidemiology
A strong record of first authored, peer-reviewed publication in statistical genetics, biostatistics, GI cancer epidemiology, and/or bioinformatics
Significant expertise and experience in population and clinical research, database design and management, and biospecimen management
Strong skills in statistical analysis and programming using R, C, SAS, Matlab, etc
