2+ years expStartup Resources is a leading accountancy startup that equips accountants with a team of AI agents to transform workflows. They are seeking an in-house Accountant to work closely with clients and the engineering team to build a product that enhances accounting processes.
Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with our engineering and design teams to build out new features and capabilities, rigorously think through edge cases, and prioritize diligently to ship what matters
You’ll listen to users and translate their needs into workflows that help them do their best work with AI—while also drawing on your own knowledge and experience to anticipate requirements and proactively shape the product
You’ll partner with the ML team to develop agent capabilities, learn new things quickly (e.g., reading and pushing code), and practice hands-on prompt engineering—defining rules and behaviors for the LLM to deliver reliable outcomes
Qualification
Required
Experience working in a leading accountancy firm (tax or audit)
Experience auditing financial statements end-to-end (cash through operating expenses), including financial statement preparation
Experience working with 20+ distinct clients across a variety of industries
Command of accounting: Quick to understand a wide variety of accounting workflows and help customers problem-solve
Preferred
2+ years in-house accounting at a startup or tech company - desirable
