Responsibilities
Prepare and/or perform technical reviews of complex tax returns
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
Identify and resolve technical tax issues and provide guidance to preparers
Collaborate with tax managers and partners to ensure consistent application of tax policies and procedures
Provide feedback and training to staff on tax technical matters and best practices
Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the team
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures for tax engagements
Support tax planning and research initiatives as needed
Qualification
Required
CPA designation (or EA designation with significant experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting
4 + years of recent public accounting experience
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
Experience reviewing complex tax returns across various entity types
Experience with multi-state taxation issues
Comfortable using tax preparation and research software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
