Responsibilities
Create Clear, Field-Ready Documentation
Author and maintain technical documents for HVAC equipment, including:
Installation Manuals
Technical Specifications
Commissioning Checklists
Operation & Maintenance (IOM) Manuals
Structure content for real-world field use, incorporating clear procedures, safety callouts, diagrams, and troubleshooting workflows designed for technicians
Collaborate & Lead
Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, marketing, and service teams to gather technical inputs and performance data
Communicate effectively with a wide range of technical audiences, adapting content as needed
Lead and train Junior Technical Writers on company documentation processes, standards, and best practices
Ensure Accuracy, Compliance & Consistency
Review and update documentation to reflect product changes and enhancements
Use Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to document and communicate updates to Installation Manuals
Manage document versions, revisions, and production releases
Ensure content aligns with internal templates, industry codes, standards, and certifications
Improve Processes
Provide feedback and drive continuous improvement in documentation workflows
Apply analytical thinking to enhance readability, usability, and consistency across all technical content
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
2–4 years of experience producing technical documentation, manuals, or specifications—ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong proficiency with Adobe InDesign for layout design, template management, and multi-page publications
Solid understanding of version control and document management systems
Excellent technical writing, editing, and formatting skills
A detail-oriented, organized mindset with the ability to balance multiple projects
A collaborative, proactive approach and comfort working with cross-functional teams
