Responsibilities
Positively represents Betts to all customers, vendors associates and other contacts in a respectful and professional manner
Examines cylinder and discusses with Lead the nature and extent of damage or malfunction
Completes paper work documenting parts needed and description of work to be performed
Replaces components such as seals shafts housings and related parts
Must have a basic knowledge of mechanical properties
Must know how to properly use a cutting torch and have the capability to weld
Must have a basic understanding of safety procedures while using lifting equipment
Must have a basic understanding of measure components and verify if they are in or out of specifications
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Applicant must be bi-lingual in Spanish and English
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Valid drivers license recommended to move vehicles in and out of shop
Must be bi-lingual in Spanish and English
Must have a basic knowledge of mechanical properties
