Responsibilities
Support and help lead Vertex O Series tax engine implementations, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and post‑go‑live support
Perform tax engine data mapping (taxpayers, locations, customers, products, certificates, ship vias)
Troubleshoot tax setup and tax decisioning issues across systems (Eclipse, Vertex, ERP)
Provide user support to internal teams such as Credit, Compliance, and Operations on tax determinations and technical questions
Analyze processes and recommend automation and efficiency improvements within the tax lifecycle
Assist with ad hoc reporting, compliance support, and audit data requests
Participate in integrations of new operating companies, including occasional weekend cutovers
Qualification
Required
Vertex O Series experience (required) – ideally with hands‑on setup, tax assist rules, new taxpayer/company setup, and update review work
3+ years of indirect tax and/or tax technology experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
Comfort working with large data sets, tax logic, and system troubleshooting
Experience with tools like Alteryx, Power BI, or other automation/analytics platforms
Demonstrates a commitment to exceptional customer service and excels at identifying and resolving problems
Demonstrates adaptability and maintains high energy in response to change, shifting priorities, and evolving business requirements
