Manager, Business Development

Walmart Canada is seeking a Manager, Business Development to lead the recruitment and launch of new Marketplace sellers. This role involves developing acquisition strategies, managing the business development lifecycle, and ensuring new sellers achieve immediate success in the eCommerce Marketplace.

Recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers
Assess market opportunities + competitive trends
Develop acquisition strategies to attract new accounts
Expand assortment and increase inventory
Manage the business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability
Ensure our new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success

Required

3+ years of successful sales/business development experience, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace or retail tech
3-4 years' experience in Channel Partnerships, Business Management, Product Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area. E-commerce experience required
Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders
Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 2 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 4 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area
