Marketo Solutions Architect

The Marketo Solutions Architect will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the marketing automation ecosystem, translating complex business requirements into scalable Marketo solutions and partnering closely with various teams to enhance customer journeys.

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end architecture of Marketo, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and performance
Design, build, and optimize email campaigns, nurture campaigns, lead scoring, life cycle models, and routing logic
Provide strategic guidance and enforce best practices across campaign execution, data management, and automation governance
Enable advanced personalization and segmentation by championing interoperability across the Martech stack
Partner with Marketing, RevOps, Product Owners, and Business Architects to align Marketo capabilities with business strategy
Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and architectural documentation
Prioritize and manage platform enhancements in partnership with the Product Owner, contributing to backlog refinement and sprint planning
Support agile delivery practices, including participation in standups, planning sessions, and retrospectives
Contribute to platform roadmapping, estimation, and long-term MarTech strategy initiatives
Qualification
Required
4+ years of hands-on Marketo experience, including administration and advanced implementation work
5+ years of consulting experience
Marketo Certification required
Strong understanding of marketing automation, B2B demand generation, lead lifecycle management, and campaign operations
Proven experience integrating Marketo with Salesforce and other Martech platforms
Strong QA, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders or clients
Strong desire to drive customer success
Self-motivated, self-directed, highly organized, strong attention to detail
Knowledge and experience with formal delivery methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall)
Ability to adapt to new challenges
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team with professionals at various levels
Remote/Telecommute position with the ability to travel up to 10-20%
