Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, and period-end adjustments
Perform detailed account reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly supported and reviewed
Use advanced Excel functionality (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas) to analyze large data sets and support reconciliations
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Track and analyze accounts receivable balances, aging, and collections trends
Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliation workpapers, and audit documentation
Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, reporting, and close procedures
Maintain accounting documentation and standard operating procedures
Assist preparation of manual vendor payments related to self-billing processes ensuring proper documentation
Assist with the end-to-end reconciliation and optimization of treasury and revenue recognition
Responsible for analysis and interpretation of moderately complex financial information
Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies by working closely with vendors and internal departments
Maintain adherence to GAAP, audit requirements, and applicable healthcare/TPA regulations
Other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong general ledger and reconciliation responsibilities
Proven experience using QuickBooks for accounting operations
High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation tools, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to accuracy and detail
Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and internal control requirements
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Availability to work standard Eastern Time (EST) business hours in a remote setting
Dedicated home office with reliable, high-speed internet
Secure workspace aligned with HIPAA security standards (device encryption, secure Wi-Fi, screen privacy)
Ability to effectively coordinate and lead projects in a fully remote environment
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
Ability to communicate effectively through video, phone, and written platforms
Ability to effectively use computers, video conferencing tools, and other standard remote work technology
Visual and auditory capabilities suitable for remote work
Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
