Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support tax staff and senior associates in their day‑to‑day work
Oversee a portfolio of ongoing tax engagements, ensuring accurate execution and timely delivery
Conduct research on complex tax matters and provide recommendations
Review and sign off on individual and business tax returns
Prepare advanced and technical tax filings as needed
Maintain strong working relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders
Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and departmental success
Participate in business development efforts when appropriate
Handle additional tax‑related tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Active CPA license (required)
Minimum 6+ years of experience within a public accounting or tax-focused environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Proven experience managing multiple clients and tax engagements simultaneously
Strong technical knowledge of tax concepts for individuals and various business entities
Proficiency with common tax and office software
Excellent communication skills-written, verbal, and in person
Preferred
advanced tax degree preferred
