Saxbys is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee cafe construction projects ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves managing the construction lifecycle, collaborating with various teams, and maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities

Manage the complete construction lifecycle from pre-construction capital estimates through project closeout, including bid processes, schedule management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery

Serve as the subject matter expert on Saxbys equipment packages, reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals while fielding equipment-related questions from engineers, architects, contractors, and installers

Conduct regular site visits, create punch lists, manage project closeouts, and collaborate with Product, Accounting, and Operations teams to complete health department requirements and ensure successful cafe turnovers

Build and maintain relationships with preferred vendors for owner-supplied FF&E and finishes while identifying opportunities to improve project efficiencies, reduce costs, and optimize timelines

Lead end-to-end management of cafe renovation projects and large-scale repair initiatives that arise across the portfolio

Collaborate on pre-construction capital estimates, value engineering projects, and strategic construction initiatives

Partner to ensure successful cafe turnovers that match communicated expectations and support operational readiness

Collaborate on health department punch lists and equipment specifications to ensure compliance and functionality

Work together on project budgets, vendor payments, and financial reporting for construction initiatives

Required

3+ years of experience in construction management or architecture

Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects from inception to completion

Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

Working knowledge of construction techniques, terminology and documentation

Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or related field

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Valid driver's license

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Able to stoop and kneel

Push, pull, lift or carry up to 35 lbs

Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps

Preferred

Construction experience in food & beverage industry

Experience with project management software (Procore, Monday.com, Airtable, Gantt charts)
