Responsibilities

Engaging with stakeholders to understand what they need from our data applications

Collaborate with product owners, converting those needs into clear and testable requirements

Develop automated tests to ensure our code delivers to those requirements and regression is not impacted by future development

Building, expanding and improving automation frameworks to ensure our testing is effective and efficient

Collaborate with data engineers to help them deliver quality code, and to ensure our test coverage is coherent and comprehensive

Participate in code reviews for data and quality engineers with a continuous improvement mindset

Required

3-5+ years' experience developing automated tests

Deep familiarity with behavior-driven-development approaches including the Cucumber/Gherkin syntax for test scenarios

Experience working using a modern test automation approach. You will be an SDET who writes code to ensure quality outcomes

Excellent knowledge of and proven experience with Python testing frameworks particularly pytest

Good knowledge of SQL and ideally of dbt

Hands-on experience working with modern cloud data lakehouse technologies e.g. Databricks (preferred) or Snowflake

Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical team members in agile Scrum ceremonies – roadmap planning, feature workshops, backlog elaboration, code review

Must be a US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER / PERMANENT RESIDENT
