This role is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and high-level technical support of assigned clinical applications, collaborating with various teams to assess and support application needs.

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in health sciences, information technology, computer science, or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical practices and principles
Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness
Demonstrated ability to develop workflows and integrate technology into clinical or operational workflows
Proficient in office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets, visual presentation, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships
High degree of knowledge in the ancillary/downstream clinical application's life cycle management
Perform complex clinical systems problem-solving and frequently conduct analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure
Successfully complete training or certifications as required by hiring manager
Required to pass Epic certification exam in two attempts within three months of hire date
Travel in the Northern California region may be required. Reliable transportation is necessary for off-site visits
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to meet committed project dates
This is a critical position, as defined by UC Policy and local procedures, and as such, employment is contingent upon clearing a criminal background check(s) and may include drug screening, medical evaluation clearance and functional capacity assessment
This position is designated as a mandated reporter under CANRA and UC policy, and employment is contingent on compliance with applicable policies, procedures and training requirements

Epic Specialty Clinical Applications certification or equivalent experience in the following: Optime, Anesthesia, Dorothy, Cupid, Radiant, Phoenix, Lumens
BS in Nursing or other clinical licensing
Experience and knowledge of device integration with clinical applications
Academic institution or large integrated health systems experience preferred
Knowledge and understanding of University policies and procedures
