Texas State Technical College is seeking a Student Accounting Specialist who is committed to excellence and accountability. This role involves performing various technical and clerical accounting duties, assisting students with financial transactions, and ensuring accurate reporting and data entry.

Responsibilities

Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community

Be familiar with TSTC information, policies and organizational structure to assist the student with questions, inquiries and concerns

Assist the student with payments, payment plans, financial aid applications, verification of awards, class schedules, and other student services related assistance

Receive, review, and prepare source documents for data entry into the student accounting system

Perform student accounting functions including but not limited to collections, billing, sponsorships, refunds

Create reports related to student accounting functions

Validate and reconcile computer printouts of financial data against source documents

Answer incoming phone calls and be able to provide answers for students, faculty and staff

Perform other duties as assigned
