The role involves validating invoices against project documentation, enforcing billing rules, and analyzing invoice trends to support financial reporting.

Responsibilities
Review and validate construction and network build invoices submitted by Business Partners
Compare invoices against design maps, estimates, and project documentation (maps provided in PDF format)
Identify discrepancies such as:
Billing for non-approved work
Incorrect codes
Work not reflected on design maps
Enforce billing rules and contract codes by pushing back on non-compliant charges
Process and review change orders when project estimates need to be updated
Work with Finance partners to request additional funding when approved work exceeds the original budget
Ensure all invoices meet strict SLA and close-cycle timelines
Prepare and reconcile monthly accruals and network payments
Analyze invoice trends, variances, and cost drivers to support forecasting and financial reporting
Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and variance analysis
Identify process gaps, risk areas, and opportunities to improve invoice accuracy and cycle time
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or equivalent experience
3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, or invoice processing
Experience reviewing invoices, accruals, or project-based financials
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
Advanced Excel skills
Experience working with large data sets and financial systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Telecom, cable, or construction finance experience
Experience reading network or construction design maps
Experience with Oracle, Essbase, Teradata, SQL, or similar tools
Experience working with contractors or vendor billing
