Responsibilities
Lead equipment reliability and performance monitoring programs, including KPI development, performance trending, and data analysis
Evaluate equipment performance, identify recurring issues, and develop technical and procedural recommendations to improve reliability, uptime, and throughput
Use CMMS data to drive reliability insights, failure analysis, maintenance optimization, and asset lifecycle strategies
Perform root cause analysis (RCA), failure investigations, and reliability assessments for equipment-related deviations and recurring issues
Support and lead deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment, processes, and maintenance strategies
Develop and implement reliability strategies including preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs
Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Quality to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime
Support equipment selection, design reviews, and performance qualification by providing reliability and maintainability input and recommendations
Establish and maintain equipment reliability metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, OEE, downtime, and maintenance effectiveness
Ensure all reliability activities are properly documented and compliant with GMP and quality system requirements
Support regulatory inspections and audits by providing reliability data, investigations, and program documentation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on asset performance, maintenance optimization, and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance engineering, or equipment performance roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
Experience working in drug product or drug substance manufacturing environments is required
Strong hands-on experience using CMMS systems for data analysis, maintenance strategy development, and performance trending
Demonstrated experience leading or supporting deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and quality system processes
Experience performing root cause analysis, failure investigations, and reliability improvement initiatives
