Responsibilities

Represent survivors of sexual assault and abuse in civil litigation matters
Manage cases from intake through resolution, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
Conduct survivor-centered client meetings using a trauma-informed approach
Draft and argue motions, respond to discovery, and participate in hearings
Work collaboratively with paralegals, case managers, and support staff
Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards
Provide empathetic, client-focused advocacy while pursuing justice and accountability

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active New York Bar license in good standing
2–5 years of experience in personal injury litigation with a strong focus on sexual abuse or sexual assault cases
Demonstrated experience handling sensitive, high-emotional-impact cases
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a team
Residency in or near White Plains, NY, willing to commute to White Plains Office

Preferred

Experience litigating institutional abuse cases (e.g., schools, churches, organizations, correctional facilities, healthcare systems)
Familiarity with New York's Child Victims Act (CVA) and Adult Survivors Act (ASA)
Trial or significant deposition experience
Background in trauma-informed legal practice
