Responsibilities
Building/testing/maintaining applications that are highly reliable (24x5), and highly performant to collect/aggregate data on billions of data points
Writing well-designed, testable, maintainable, reusable, secure, efficient code
Identifying opportunities to improve user experience, reduce cost, and improve performance
Supporting APIs and flexible tools to query, summarize, and analyze big data
Automating monitoring and alerting of anomalous market conditions
Generating rich reports that deliver actionable business insights
Creating and maintaining documentation in Confluence
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience with Python, Java
2+ years of experience with Linux OS and scripting
2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational database
2+ years of experience with Git or similar version control
2+ years of experience with AWS services (preferable, not mandatory)
Strong knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
Passion for big data
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability/willingness to interface with non-technical team members to convert an idea/concept into a robust solution
Minimum Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related discipline
Preferred
Finance industry experience/knowledge is preferable but not mandatory
Masters degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
