Senior Controls Engineer

Responsibilities
Execute new program launches, including Statement of Requirements (SOR) preparation, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off, and buyoff
Oversee design, construction, integration, plant installation, and continuous improvement of equipment and tools for high-quality part production
Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet program milestones
Provide project updates and report-outs to senior management
Support existing programs/sites with troubleshooting and technical guidance
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and plant personnel
Design and troubleshoot electrical control systems
Contribute to development and testing of advanced process technologies
Travel as required to support program execution and plant activities
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience as a controls/robotics engineer
Strong technical knowledge of electrical/control systems applied in manufacturing environments
Basic understanding of mechanical concepts related to machine design and process requirements
Proficiency in Siemens CNC, PLC, and HMI programming; Ethernet and/or ProfiNet/ProfiSafe networks
Knowledge of servo motors, motion control, and drives
Ability to design and troubleshoot electrical control systems
Experience across multiple manufacturing controls and/or robotics assignments with measurable achievements
Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and learn new systems
Preferred
Prior experience as a controls engineer in the automotive industry
Understanding of plant floor operations
General knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
