Penn State Health is seeking a fellow for their Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider program, designed for physician assistants and acute care nurse practitioners. This 12-month postgraduate fellowship includes clinical rotations, didactic sessions, and hands-on training in critical care settings, with a commitment of approximately 40-50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Ability to dedicate up to 50 hours a week to fellowship training. Hours may be divided between clinical rotation, reading, completing online training modules, didactic sessions, case conferences, journal clubs and clinical simulation

Trainees will be expected to work the schedule that is outlined by their clinical mentors

Schedules will include days, evenings, nights and weekends, but no holidays

Qualification

Physician Assistant certificationAdult-Gerontology Acute Care NP certificationBLS CertificationACLS CertificationCritical Care experience

Required

Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program

National board certification required for both NPs and PAs prior to the start of the fellowship program

Current BLS Certification

Current ACLS Certification
