Shop Floor Technician

Responsibilities

Monitor floor stock parts in 2 bin replenishment process
Alert the supervisor or lead of any stock outs for floor stock
Combine work order kits with repair orders released to work
Retrieve additional parts for units already in process on the repair line
Perform audit of floor stock and chemical storage areas to ensure traceability and shelf life standards are compliant
Staging units per the schedule for the next shift
Return unused parts to the stockroom
Remove all dunnage from the work area ensuring proper 5S adherence
Ensure good housekeeping by supporting the 5S program at all times
Keep all staging areas organized and neat
Prepare units for manual shipments such as returns from customer grief and outside processing
Perform other duties as assigned by the shift Coordinator, shift Supervisor, or member of management

Required

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline

Preferred

Good math and communication skills
An understanding of material management
Flexible to perform a variety of assignments and adapt to changing conditions
Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
Ability to work well with others
Proficient use of computers is desired
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
