Responsibilities
Deliver rigorous, engaging instruction aligned to Mastery’s curriculum and state standards
Integrate real-world applications and project-based learning to teach healthcare concepts
Foster an inclusive, student-centered classroom that encourages inquiry, collaboration, and resilience
Build students’ knowledge of healthcare pathways, including healthcare IT, sterile lab processing, and medical assisting
Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary connections and align instructional practices
Use data-driven strategies to assess and support student learning
Develop and maintain relationships with families to support student success
Provide support to Hardy High teaching colleagues for planning and implementation of health care career awareness activities in middle school classrooms in grades 7-8
Support the planning and development of curriculum materials for advanced specialized health care career pathway coursework for students in grades 10-12 in future school years
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (required)
At least five years of experience in the healthcare industry (highly preferred)
Valid teaching certification (or eligibility for an Emergency Teaching Certification)
Strong understanding of healthcare fields and industry trends
Ability to develop engaging, standards-aligned lessons
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to continuous improvement, equity, and high expectations for all students
Preferred
Degrees in healthcare, education, or a related field preferred
Experience in education and/or workforce development is a plus
Industry-recognized credentials in healthcare fields such as: RN, LPN, CMA, CSLPT, or CompTIA A+
