Responsibilities

Preparing or directing the preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), piping drawings, isometric fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and general arrangement drawings in CADWorx

Familiarity with and utilizing discipline design and drafting standards

References information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, etc., and interfaces with engineers as required

Participating in design review meetings with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Team, and Client to discuss the scope, design, and expected performance, as well as work out unforeseen problems

Providing technical support to shop and construction personnel during manufacturing and construction activities

Supporting business development efforts by providing project scope and preliminary designs

Providing support for other disciplines when required: Electrical- Grounding plans, Hazardous area plans, Conduit and Cable tray layouts

Civil- 3D Foundation models for equipment layout

Structural – Skid packages, Pipe racks and miscellaneous pipe support drawings

Required

Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Technology

Demonstrated experience in drafting/detailing drawings for piping systems

Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and organized manner

Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize work in a timely manner

Capable of multi-tasking numerous projects at once and working within deadlines

Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with multi-discipline teams to achieve goals

Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) programs

Knowledge of 3D scanning, field verification

Knowledge and application of piping supports and restraints

Knowledge and application of piping materials

6 + years of Mechanical system design experience in the utility or power industry

Demonstrated proficiency working with CADWorx Plant Professional, AutoCAD Plant 3D or other similar 3D piping programs

Technical knowledge of the design and construction codes & standards for natural gas and LNG facilities (ASME B31.3 & B31.8, 49 CFR Parts 192 & 193, and NFPA 59A)
