Responsibilities
Act as the on-site support for all local system operations
Provide first-level technical support for all end user issues
Perform first-level troubleshooting and incident handling and response
Perform basic troubleshooting of network, workstation, and server devices and associated peripherals
Perform hands-on system administration duties for local networking and virtualization infrastructure
Create, administer, and delete user accounts, including smart card administration
Image and deploy user workstations (Windows or Linux)
Perform regular end user training sessions for groups and individuals
Create and maintain local equipment inventory and manage replacement requests
Develop and document system SOPs for end users and administrators
Deploy regular patches and updates across the system as directed by program engineers
Perform regular security log reviews and perform cyber incident reporting
Travel expectations for this position: <10%
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of experience IT networking, technical support, or related field
Microsoft Active Directory experience (DNS, Group Policy, Security Groups, User Administration, etc.)
Networking experience (DNS, DCHP, VLAN, switch and port configuration, firewalls, VPN)
Ability to communicate technical issues effectively with other IT personnel as well as non-technical users
Familiarity with Azure and Office 365, including security and compliance controls, and Exchange Online, is a plus
Familiarity with scripting (powershell, bash) is strongly desired
Familiarity with virtualization concepts and technology
Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments
Comfortability interacting with a variety of different individuals, personalities, and in various situations
Well-organized and efficient, with an ability to multitask
Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
Motivated by solving challenging problems and continuously learning
Skilled in prioritizing and triaging obligations
Occasionally lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, and assist with heavier items
