Senior Human Resource Generalist
PEG Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to deliver strategic and hands-on HR support across multiple U.S. locations. This role involves managing full-cycle recruitment, supporting employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws while fostering employee engagement and culture.
Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruitment for professional-level roles, including workforce planning, job description development, postings, screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation
Partner with hiring managers to align hiring strategies with business needs and ensure a strong candidate experience
Support onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and early engagement
Utilize HR systems and reporting tools to analyze and present data related to headcount, turnover, compensation, and compliance
Track and report key HR metrics such as time-to-fill, turnover, absenteeism, and cost-to-hire to support data-driven decisions
Support compensation planning and job evaluations using formal job evaluation methodologies to ensure internal equity and alignment
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
Conduct thorough, objective investigations and provide guidance through resolution
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA)
Maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook; communicate updates clearly and effectively
Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications
Partner with leadership to improve morale, productivity, and retention
Serve as a visible, approachable HR presence across the organization
Support benefits administration, payroll coordination, workers’ compensation, and exit interviews
Assist with affirmative action planning, internal audits, and HR compliance reviews
Draft and distribute organizational announcements and internal communications
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience; recruitment-heavy experience preferred
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or similarly diverse workforces strongly preferred
Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, reporting tools, and job evaluation systems
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis) and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and tailor communication to different audiences
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal skills—communicative, receptive to feedback, not easily rattled, and able to build trust across all levels
High degree of discretion, integrity, and sound judgment
