Required

Strong programming experience on the IBM i (AS/400) platform
Proficient in: RPG / RPG ILE
SQLRPGLE, complex SQL queries, embedded SQL
Control Language (CLP/CLLE)
Solid understanding of database concepts, including: Physical files, logical files, SQL tables, Indexes, views, stored procedures
Experience with screen programming: Display files, subfiles, printer files
Ability to document business rules, program data flows, and create data mapping artifacts
iSeries ILE programming experience: Program modules, binding directories, service programs
Working knowledge of Message Queue (MQ) concepts, triggers, and XML integration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
Ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred

Experience with Turnover (configuration management tool)
Familiarity with X-Analysis (iSeries cross-reference tool)
Understanding of triggers and inter-system communication methods
Knowledge of ROBOT job scheduler and setting up automated jobs
Experience with iSeries Navigator for SQL execution and performance analysis
Familiarity with data modeling concepts (normalized/denormalized schemas, star schema)
Retail domain experience (e.g., merchandising, warehouse management, distribution)
