Responsibilities
Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents
Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules
Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis to provide: A friendly visitor, Sensory stimulation, Reality orientation, A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan
Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas
Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
Preferred: Activities Director Certification
Qualification
Required
Kind approach with the elderly
Good listener
Ability to build rapport easily
Good communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with others
