Responsibilities

Inspect, evaluate and consult regarding pressure equipment for jurisdictional and risk servicing purposes at all insured locations
Assess complex piping, sophisticated controls, and fluid dynamics
Demonstrate understanding of uncommon applications (e.g., high temperature water and organic fluid/vapor boilers)
Handle a broad range of boiler and pressure vessel situations
Consult on regulatory or jurisdictional requirements
Integrate requirements in evaluating pressure equipment to verify compliance with Jurisdictional Regulations and FM Standards
Work closely with clients to eliminate or mitigate hazards
Take on assignments of a more complex nature
Understand and communicate impact to clients’ business regarding boiler and pressure vessel exposures
Demonstrate strong competence in handling field work and related administrative tasks for the most common occupancies and hazards with minimal guidance and supervision
Conduct incident investigations of pressure equipment at the discretion of the Operations Chief Inspector

Required

Candidates for this position shall have a National Board In-service commission
Have or obtain state/provincial jurisdictional certificate of competency for the jurisdictions in which they will be providing Jurisdictional services
Demonstrate strong competence in handling field work and related administrative tasks for the most common occupancies and hazards with minimal guidance and supervision
Understand and can communicate impact to clients' business regarding boiler and pressure vessel exposures
Handle a broad range of boiler and pressure vessel situations
Solid understanding and ability to consult on regulatory or jurisdictional requirements
Integrate regulatory or jurisdictional requirements in evaluating pressure equipment to verify equipment conditions are in compliance with Jurisdictional Regulations and FM Standards
Inspect, evaluate and consult regarding pressure equipment for jurisdictional and risk servicing purposes at all insured locations
