Responsibilities
Migrating data and workloads from Teradata to BigQuery
Re-engineering and optimising Teradata SQL for BigQuery
Building and maintaining cloud-native data pipelines
Validating data quality, reconciliation, and performance post-migration
Working closely with Cloud Architects, Data Architects, and DevOps
Supporting analytics, ML, and future GenAI use cases
Qualification
Required
Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer
Hands-on Teradata experience (SQL, performance tuning, schema design)
BigQuery experience in production environments
Proven experience on data warehouse / platform migration projects
Strong SQL skills and data modelling fundamentals
Experience working in regulated or data-sensitive environments
Preferred
GCP services (Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
Python or Scala for data engineering
dbt or modern transformation tooling
CI/CD for data pipelines
Exposure to AI / ML data pipelines
