Responsibilities
Lead architectural design for new data center builds from concept through construction
Serve as the owner’s design authority across multiple concurrent projects
Manage RFQ/RFP processes, including consultant selection and contract negotiations
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (architectural, structural, civil, MEP)
Develop and manage design budgets, schedules, and scopes
Interface with local jurisdictions to navigate codes, interpretations, and variances
Support pre-construction efforts including cost modeling, value engineering, and risk assessment
Translate complex technical concepts for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders
Contribute to business cases, financial inputs, and performance metrics
Drive standardized design frameworks, modular solutions, and repeatable build strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering
8+ years leading projects in data center or mission-critical facility design
Strong experience with consultant oversight, RFQ/RFPs, and budget management
Proven ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, multi-project environments
Preferred
PE or Architectural License
10+ years across data center design, construction, operations, or facilities engineering
Experience delivering modular data center designs, including procurement and commissioning
Working knowledge of IBC and other relevant building, safety, and environmental codes
Familiarity with BIM, Procore, Salesforce, and Smartsheet
