Barton Malow is seeking a CAD Operator within our A/E Services team embedded with a client facility in Auburn Hills. This role is responsible for supporting the operations team by receiving and processing field data and transferring to CAD for drawing documentation throughout the project(s) life cycle.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and update drawings and specifications, maintain and distribute project documentation
Walk through buildings during/after installation to verify installation progress
Identify and document existing equipment and field conditions to establish project goals and design feasibility
Draft and update engineering drawings and specifications based on direction and assistance from design and management team
Create and maintain dynamic cell libraries in CAD systems and manage CAD software
Identify material change requirements, and work with clients to find ways to adjust and make the customer’s evolving requirements, and our internal processes, work together efficiently

Required

Technical/Engineering degree or equivalent applicable professional experience
Minimum 3 years experience with CAD software programs

Preferred

Familiar with architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing documentation a plus, but not required
