DIRECTOR, SPECIAL EDUCATION - PROGRAMS AND DEVELOPMENT- 250 DAY
Prince William County Public Schools is seeking a Director of Special Education - Programs and Development. This role is responsible for administering and supervising the total special education program, overseeing various operations, and leading a large team to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
Primary/Secondary Education
Responsibilities
Administering and supervising the total special education program
Overseeing areas of programming and special education operations
Including eligibility and child find, post-secondary transition, related services
Overseeing the Virginia IEP system, data and state reporting
Managing Medicaid Billing, Extended School Year programming
Consultation around discipline of students with disabilities
Leading a large team of staff to carry out these functions
Qualification
Required
Ability to work in person and physically report for work on site
Experience in administering and supervising special education programs
Collaboration skills with other directors and departments
Knowledge of eligibility and child find processes
Experience with post-secondary transition and related services
Familiarity with Virginia IEP system and state reporting
Experience in Medicaid Billing and Extended School Year programming
Ability to lead and manage a large team of staff
