Summit Polymers is a leading, global supplier of automotive interior systems. They are seeking a Quality Technician (Dimensional) responsible for developing measurement programs, collecting measurement data, and ensuring product compliance with customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Directs, Develops, and Performs Dimensional Inspections to ensure compliance with engineering and customer specifications

Develops Inspection Programs that satisfy the requirements outlined in laboratory requests, supplied GD&T drawings and other customer specifications

Performs multi-piece dimensional inspections that utilize CMM, Optical Comparator and/or other appropriate measurement equipment to ensure the collection of accurate measurement information

Records measurements, reviews, and compiles measurement results into official reports

Identifies issues during the inspection process and provides feedback to the requisitioning engineer

Works within the lab schedule to ensure that inspection projects are completed on time and equipment is utilized efficiently

Preforms verification of metrology equipment (ASME B89), maintains equipment performance logs

Performs Gage Certification, CMM Gage R&R and Capability Studies

Required

A minimum of 6 years CMM experience with at least 4 years of programming experience

A working knowledge of PC-DMIS CMM Programming Software and Microsoft Excel

A working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and the interpretation of engineering drawings

Possesses good spatial reasoning

Fluent in English

Possesses the ability learn quickly and make reasoned decisions based on limited information as demonstrated by a minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 20 on the cognitive portion)

Agreement to complete all post-hire required training
