Senior Forestry Strategy and Analytics Manager
Ceres Forestry is a company focused on building a scalable forestry platform that meets the needs of the U.S. federal government and public-sector clients. They are seeking a Senior Forestry Strategy & Analytics Manager to lead data-driven decision-making in project selection, pricing, and growth strategy, while collaborating closely with executive leadership and data scientists.

Responsibilities
Lead forestry strategy and advanced analytics to support national growth, project selection, pricing, feasibility analysis, and long-term scaling of Ceres Forestry
Organize, synthesize, and translate complex forestry, operational, spatial, and financial data into clear, decision-ready insights for executive leadership
Learn, evaluate, and integrate automated forestry and field data collection technologies into business operations, analytics workflows, and decision-support systems
Partner closely with India-based data scientists to manage, structure, analyze, and operationalize forestry data, enabling improved execution and future business opportunities
Support business development and federal pursuits, providing analytical input for proposals, pricing strategies, and large-scale program opportunities
Work directly alongside executive leadership, operational leaders, and external business partners to shape growth strategy and national capability development
Represent Ceres Forestry in regional forestry meetings, industry forums, and federal stakeholder engagements, including meetings with agencies such as the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, DC
Develop repeatable analytical frameworks, dashboards, and tools that enable consistent, scalable decision-making across regions and projects
Ensure analytics and strategy are grounded in real-world forestry operations by collaborating closely with field teams and partners
Serve as a trusted internal advisor on forestry analytics, economics, technology enablement, and strategic planning
Contribute to building a data-driven culture that supports federal alignment, operational excellence, and long-term national growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Forest Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
7+ years of progressive experience in forestry, forest operations, forest analytics, forest economics, or strategy-driven roles supporting complex or large-scale programs
Demonstrated ability to analyze, organize, and synthesize complex forestry, operational, spatial, and financial data into clear, executive-ready insights
Advanced experience with GIS and spatial analysis tools (e.g., ArcGIS Pro or equivalent) and applying spatial data to operational, financial, or strategic decision-making
Strong understanding of forestry operations, cost structures, productivity drivers, and execution risk across logging, fuel reduction, restoration, or post-fire environments
Proven experience using data and analytics to influence business decisions, including project selection, pricing, feasibility, or investment prioritization
Experience supporting or partnering on business development efforts, including proposals, pursuits, pricing strategies, or market expansion initiatives
Ability to work directly with senior leadership, ownership, and external partners, translating technical analysis into actionable recommendations
Comfort operating in a high-visibility, high-accountability role with regular interaction with executives, partners, and external stakeholders
Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites, regional meetings, and federal or stakeholder engagements
Expectation of regular in-office presence and close collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams
Valid driver's license and ability to meet travel and field engagement requirements
Preferred
Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or equivalent) in Forestry, Forest Economics, Business, Analytics, or a related field
Experience working with or supporting federal agencies (e.g., DOI, USDA, USFS) or large public-sector programs
Familiarity with federal funding mechanisms, compliance expectations, or audit-readiness requirements
Experience integrating or evaluating automated field data collection technologies
Prior collaboration with data science or analytics teams to scale data systems and decision-support tools
Experience operating in growth-stage, multi-region, or platform-scale environments
