They are seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist who will apply informatics principles to implement and optimize clinical technology applications, working closely with clinicians and informaticists.

Responsibilities

Guide clinical end users and clinical leaders in the investigation, design, implementation, and evaluation of solutions to optimize efficient use of clinical technology applications

Analyze, interpret and communicate clinical and information systems data and trends to improve patient care and efficient use of clinical technology applications

Provide leadership amongst the Clinical Informatics team

Oversee informatics-related projects and activities

Lead clinical and technical educators in development and review of education relevant to clinical technology applications

Actively solicit end-user feedback on clinical technology applications

Collaborate on UC Health improvement projects, initiatives, and activities as they relate to clinical informatics

Collaborate in organizational SOP and policy reviews and revisions as related to use of clinical technology systems

Provide support to ensure organizational compliance with regulatory expectations within supported technology applications

Collaborate with clinical users and other stakeholders on hospital-wide and system-wide committees as a representative of clinical informatics

Pursue personal professional development in the science of clinical informatics

Attend educational offerings relevant to current assignments

Qualification

Clinical InformaticsHealthcare ExperienceInformatics CertificationMaster's DegreeLeadershipCommunicationCollaboration

Required

Master's degree

Board Certification in Informatics (American Nurses Credentialing Center-Nursing Informatics (ANCC), Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS))

3+ years Clinical or Healthcare environment related experience

2+ years informatics-related experience

Preferred

Preferred field of study: Nursing, Information Management, or related clinical field

Current RN license to practice in the State of Ohio or other related healthcare discipline licensure as appropriate
