This role is responsible for protection scheme design, relay coordination, SCADA integration, IEC-61850 implementation, and project-level technical leadership.

Responsibilities
Lead and design substation P&C engineering (one-line, three-line, AC/DC schematics, wiring, control house layouts)
Develop relay protection schemes and relay settings (SEL, ABB, GE, Siemens, etc.)
Implement IEC-61850, SCADA, communications & cybersecurity integration
Perform DC battery/charger sizing, CT/PT/CCVT calculations, voltage drop studies
Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, outages, and field testing
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and cross-functional engineering teams
Provide technical leadership, peer reviews, and project cost estimates
Qualification
Required
BSEE (Power preferred)
5+ years of substation Protection & Control engineering experience
Experience with HV/EHV substations, relay protection, IEC-61850, SCADA
Knowledge of ETAP / Aspen OneLiner
Willingness to travel up to 20%
Preferred
PE or EIT preferred
HVDC, FACTS, BESS, Data Center substation experience
NERC-CIP cybersecurity knowledge
Strong customer-facing and leadership skills
