Hood Container Corporation is seeking an Experienced Quality Technician for their Wilmington, NC plant. The role involves conducting internal and external Quality Audits, documenting nonconformance, and responding to customer inquiries while ensuring quality management and support across departments.

Responsibilities

Quality Tech will communicate with colleagues and teammates to have a strategic and first-in-class mentality

Assist with line verifications and line clearance verifications

Review/validate rejects and help problem-solve with production to reduce/eliminate using root cause analysis

Perform 1 st articles of inspection

Ensure the completion of all quality check sheets, production records and quality reject sheets daily

Assist Mock recalls as directed by Quality Lead

Maintain Quality Management System through daily walks and internal audits

Support all departments with internal and external quality concerns during a customer complaint

Support Management with all internal and external audits

Perform Quality/Data Entry daily tasks as needed

Must be able to work in high temperature & humidity conditions while wearing proper PPE including, but not limited to, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and safety glasses

HS Diploma/G.E.D. Required

Preferred

Experience in corrugated industry

1-3 years previous QA/QC experience

Internal Auditor Certification/Training

Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, HAACP, SQF, or ASI cGMP

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
