Responsibilities
Manages and directs the activities of the finance and accounting departments
Prepares financial statements and required reporting as required by governmental and lending agencies to include Rural Utilities Services (RUS), United States Department of Agricultural Development, Rural Development (USDA), State and financial auditors and others
Oversees and performs District’s risk management activities
Coordinates with outside auditors, State Auditor’s Office and RUS
Manages the budgeting process including gathering of data, departmental meetings, preparation of final documents, monitoring reporting, developing, and presenting budget and rate information in public forums
Manages the Board's fiscal policies and assists in the development of new policies. Coordinates the annual budget, risk management, and other key financial areas used to make operating decisions and meet regulatory reporting requirements. Collaborate with consultants on policies and procedures
Prepare and provide accurate financial reports to the General Manager, Board of Commissioners and others as needed
Qualification
Required
Must reside in one of the three surrounding counties of Jefferson, Clallam and Kitsap
Must have PUD experience OR a CPA
Overseeing and reviewing all related work done by the District
Directing the District's financial department including financial reporting, planning, accounting and treasury practices
Preparing financial statements and required reporting as required by governmental and lending agencies
Overseeing and performing District's risk management activities
Coordinating with outside auditors, State Auditor's Office and RUS
