Support Engineer

CornerStone Technology Talent Services is focused on delivering next-generation Fixed Wireless Access solutions for rural and semi-urban markets in North America. The Support Engineer will serve as the first-line technical escalation point, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues while ensuring operational stability during the deployment phase.

Responsibilities

Act as the initial escalation point for customer-reported technical issues
Perform rapid triage and containment of incidents affecting live network deployments
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across 5G systems, transport/backhaul, and customer network integration
Conduct root cause analysis and determine resolution paths, escalating to engineering teams when required
Support software upgrades and maintenance activities in live customer environments
Coordinate with customers to schedule maintenance windows, upgrades, and outages
Replicate customer issues in lab environments where appropriate
Document findings, actions, and resolutions in ticketing systems
Use Linux-based systems for diagnostics, log analysis, and troubleshooting
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends
Travel to customer sites as needed during deployment and support phases

Required

Experience supporting telecom, carrier, ISP, or large-scale network environments
Strong working knowledge of 5G systems and performance troubleshooting
Solid understanding of IP networking, particularly related to transport and backhaul
Hands-on experience working in Linux CLI environments
Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues under time pressure
Experience working directly with customers in a technical support or escalation capacity

Preferred

Exposure to Fixed Wireless Access or mobile broadband deployments
Experience supporting early-stage product rollouts or fast-growth environments
Basic scripting or automation experience (bash, Python)
Understanding of IPv6 and Ethernet (Layer 2)
Experience improving escalation quality and reducing engineering handoffs
