Responsibilities

Perform steel structure foundation and repair inspections
Perform substation foundation and repair inspections
Oversee wood pole treatment and testing methods
Oversee steel structure coating crews
Evaluate transmission structures to assess overall circuit health
Assess storm damage and support emergency restoration crews
Ensure contractor compliance with:
Safety protocols
PPE requirements
Engineering drawings and specifications
Capture and submit detailed photo documentation
Produce accurate daily and weekly inspection reports

Required

Minimum 5 years of active field experience
Strong experience in transmission line work
Strong experience in foundations
Strong experience in conductor stringing
Strong experience in transmission substations and facilities
Knowledge of QA/QC inspection and reporting practices
Knowledge of electronic and mobile reporting tools
Strong computer skills for documentation and reporting
Ability to travel based on project location
Valid and current driver's license
U.S. citizenship
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical specifications
Proficient in reading and interpreting customer and engineering standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to create clear, detailed inspection reports
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to perform consistent photo documentation

Preferred

7+ years of active field experience preferred
Substation experience
OSHA or maintenance certifications
Construction or project management experience
Design or engineering exposure
