They are seeking a Metrology Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining metrology systems and processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with medical device standards.

Responsibilities

Design and implement metrology procedures and inspection plans for complex components

Program and operate CMMs, vision systems, and optical measurement tools

Develop and perform calibration procedures and maintain measurement equipment per ISO 17025 standards

Conduct Gage R&R studies and Test Method Validations (TMV)

Support First Article Inspections and in-process quality checks

Analyze measurement data and recommend process improvements

Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and customer requirements

Prepare technical reports and maintain documentation for audits

Train and mentor technicians and other staff on metrology practices and procedures

Qualification

Required

5 years in metrology or dimensional inspection (medical device preferred)

Proficiency in GD&T and CMM programming (PC-DMIS or similar)

Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 17025

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to perform daily tasks safely, work independently with limited supervision, solve practical problems and work effectively with customers, vendors and other departments

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
