Media Planner/Buyer - Account Manager
Fundamental Media is a marketing technology group specializing in the Asset Management and Higher Education sectors. They are seeking an experienced Account Manager to plan and buy media across all channels, primarily digital, ensuring excellent client management and project execution.

Responsibilities
Plan and buy relevant media and present media proposals, including timings and cost breakdown. Use analysis to drive decisions in a way that yields sustained, measurable results
Lead media strategy development and client presentations, including channel and budget allocation
Maintain strong relationships with assigned clients. Proactively communicate to provide project updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns. Understand their goals, objectives, and challenges, and serve as a trusted advisor
Lead the end-to-end execution of client projects. Collaborate with internal teams to develop project timelines, deliverables, and ensure on-time and within-budget completion
Monitor project budgets and ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints. Provide clients with accurate budget updates
Identify opportunities for upselling additional services or expanding existing projects to drive revenue growth
Maintain a deep understanding of your clients’ industry/segment, audience profiles, and competitive landscape
Collaborate with creative, media, and technology teams to ensure all aspects of client projects are executed effectively and seamlessly
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members. Lead by example, sharing industry knowledge and best practices. Train new hires on internal tools and processes
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience working in a similar media buying / planning role, preferably at an agency
Strong digital media experience particularly display, content marketing and social media
Proven ability to create outstanding media strategies
The skills to handle multiple accounts and projects, ensuring client retention
An interest and passion in analyzing your campaigns and pushing for the best outcome
Experience of liaising with and presenting recommendations to clients; excellent written and spoken communication skills
Ability to recognize good media opportunities and the ability to develop new ideas/concepts
Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities
Excellent negotiation and good interpersonal skills: Persuasive and diplomatic
Demonstrable ability to make sensible, intelligent decisions in difficult and deadline driven situations
A passionate approach to tasks with a can-do attitude – committed to upholding professional standards while being flexible and self-motivated
Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite, specifically Excel
