GemPharmatech is currently seeking a candidate to join their Business Development team responsible for the Boston Area Territory. The role involves expanding client relationships, presenting products and services, and providing customized solutions with support from technical teams.

Responsibilities

Expand client relationships and identify new clients to establish business relationships
Present products and services to potential customers with an emphasis on preclinical research services
Provide feedback on market needs, trends, competitive landscape and new business opportunities to the rest of the company
Advocate for genetically engineered mouse models and their value to biomedical research
Represent GemPharmatech’s core value reliably

Qualification

Life sciences degreePre-clinical mouse modelsDrug discovery knowledgeBiopharma CRO experienceVivo pharmacologySelling skillsBusiness presentationsScientific writingAnalytical skillsMultilingualPassionate about researchCultural sensitivityInterpersonal communication

Required

Degree or equivalent experience in the life sciences required
Knowledge and experience with pre-clinical mouse model experience desired
Drug discovery knowledge, biopharma CRO and relevant business experience required
At least 5 years' experience selling to pharma and biotech preferred
Experience in in vivo pharmacology preferred
Masterful selling skills that results in strong, trusting customer relationships
Highly effective at overcoming obstacles with strong interpersonal communication skills
Skilled in conducting business and sales presentations with scientific rigor
Excellent scientific writing and analytical skills
Ability to travel in the US and internationally with expected travel time of 25% or more
Passionate about biomedical research, enjoy working in a start-up environment and is self-motivated
Sensitive to social, economic and cultural differences

Preferred

At least 5 years' experience selling to pharma and biotech preferred
Experience in in vivo pharmacology preferred
Multilingual is an asset
