Senior Program Manager (AI)
Staffing Science is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior Program Manager to drive automation, RPA, and AI-enabled initiatives in a dynamic environment. The role involves leading programs end-to-end, partnering with executives to identify opportunities, and translating business needs into technical execution.
Responsibilities
Own and lead automation and AI-adjacent programs end-to-end, from problem definition through delivery and adoption
Partner directly with executive stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities across business processes, operations, and technology
Translate business needs into technical roadmaps, requirements, and execution plans for engineering and delivery teams
Lead and scale RPA, workflow automation, and process optimization initiatives, including pilots, proofs of concept, and production rollouts
Stand up and mature automation / AI workstreams, including governance, prioritization, intake, and success metrics
Act as the connective tissue between business, engineering, and leadership, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability
Operate comfortably in environments with limited structure, where you are expected to create clarity, define processes, and drive momentum
Communicate progress, risks, and value clearly to C-suite and senior leadership —without overhyping technology
Support or help build a Center of Excellence–style model for automation, AI, or intelligent workflows where applicable
Evaluate and guide the use of tools such as RPA platforms, low-code/no-code solutions, custom apps, and emerging AI capabilities
Qualification
Required
8–12+ years of experience in program management, product operations, technical program management, or technical product ownership
Strong technical fluency —you don't need to code daily, but you understand systems, integrations, automation patterns, and delivery tradeoffs
Proven experience delivering automation, RPA, or workflow transformation initiatives (AI experience is a plus, not a requirement)
Background working in smaller teams, startups, innovation groups, or Centers of Excellence, where ownership and autonomy were required
Experience mapping business processes → technical solutions, and managing delivery through engineering teams
Comfortable operating without large teams, formal PMOs, or heavy process
Strong executive presence with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical leaders
Experience working across both enterprise and smaller-company environments is highly valued
Ability to juggle multiple initiatives while maintaining focus on outcomes and value delivery
Preferred
Hands-on experience with RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate, etc.)
Exposure to AI/ML-enabled automation, intelligent document processing, or decision automation
Experience building or supporting an automation or AI Center of Excellence
Background as a Technical Product Owner or Technical Program Manager
Familiarity with governance, risk, and change management related to automation or AI
