Cloud Architect (Container/OpenShift)
CGI Federal is seeking a Cloud Architect (Container/OpenShift) to advance the national security mission through cutting-edge technology. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing Red Hat OpenShift container platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Architecture Design: Design and implement end-to-end OpenShift solutions for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments
Platform Implementation: Lead the installation, configuration, and tuning of OpenShift clusters, including namespaces, networking, storage, and security policies
Containerization Strategy: Develop strategies and standards for containerizing applications and platforms, aligning with business needs
DevOps & CI/CD: Define and implement automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or other CI/CD tools
Integration: Integrate OpenShift with enterprise systems, such as monitoring tools, identity providers, and existing CI/CD pipelines
Security & Compliance: Ensure the OpenShift environment meets security and compliance requirements, including configuring role-based access controls (RBAC)
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and product management teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of containerized applications
Technical Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical direction, documenting architecture decisions, and transferring knowledge to client and internal teams
Migration Strategies: Assess legacy systems, perform gap analysis, and develop strategies for migrating applications to the OpenShift platform
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and/or 1 to 3 years of experience
TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift architecture and operations
Deep understanding of containerization technologies and Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and related development and deployment tools
Knowledge of cloud-native architecture principles and best practices
Experience with container networking, storage solutions, and software-defined networks
Familiarity with configuring security features and implementing logging and monitoring systems
Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
