Responsibilities

Machine programming and routine set-ups for new products
Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers
Collaborate strategically with operations to optimize machine workflow and process improvements
Lead the exploration and implementation of new technologies in circuit card, cable and electronic control box assembly processes
Collaborate with cross functional teams on root cause investigations to ensure adjacencies are addressed and robust corrective actions are implemented
Propose and implement process improvements to increase first past yield and decrease cost and delivery lead times
Create and maintain product specific work instructions and engineering process work instructions

Required

Engineering experience in aerospace sector
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred) with 8+ years of relevant technical experience
Experience with machine/equipment onboarding processes (IQ/OQ/PQ and Validation Verification processes)
Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered)

Preferred

Experience in circuit card, cable and electronic box build manufacturing
Leadership experience within an engineering organization with demonstrated ability to successfully influence and collaborate at senior levels of the organization
Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities with clear goals and context while providing appropriate levels of support and resources
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to become certified in IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and NASA 8739 standards
Knowledge of NX modeling or equivalent 3D modeling software
